IB Theory of Knowledge diagram

As a Knower, I use ways of knowing such as sense perception, emotion, language and reason to learn the areas of knowing such as arts, mathematics, history, human sciences, natural sciences and ethics. For example I learn ethics from emotions and sense perception. For example I can tell right from wrong by the hearing my mothers voice when I do something wrong and can read anger on her face as well which teaches me that it is wrong what I am doing. For example when driving I will go fast on the highway and can tell I am doing something wrong from emotions read on my mothers face as well as hearing her tone of voice. Another way of knowing is sense perception in the areas of knowing for art. For instance i visualize what I am drawing and draw what I am seeing with my eyes. For example for figure drawing I see every curve and proportion of the body and I draw it how I see it on the paper. As a knower I use Sense perception to learn on a daily basis, for example I use my hearing and sight to learn history, touch and sight to produce art, and all of my sense to learn sciences when doing a lab. Also on a daily basis I use language to communicate with teachers in the areas of knowing. We use language to explain what we know and understand to each other. For example in Biology I use language to communicate with my teacher to understand better what Mitosis and Meiosis is and I then develop my knowledge on the subject. In conclusion on a daily basis as a knower I use a combination of way of knowing to understand and learn about the various areas of knowing.
